While many in law enforcement work to rescue those affected by sexual abuse, there are others serving in open and clandestine ways to eradicate human sexual slavery and suffering. These female and male warriors deserve our applause and gratitude.
My role has been to offer emotional assistance that is hopefully comforting and healing to survivors of this horrific dilemma. Survivors of abuse can often be in need of help and not know it. I was like that at one time. I never dreamed that decades after my sexual abuse and trafficking I would host a podcast on the subject matter or write a book. Shame laid upon me like thick mud from head to toe for years. To speak about it in public, to a friend, or even admit to myself it happened seemed impossible.
Now, I have found freedom and satisfaction in producing my free podcast for male and female survivors of sexual abuse. As the numbers of listeners grow each month and I see they are from diverse areas of the planet, I experience two reactions. First, I am happy that my effort is not in vain and is being utilized. Second, I am often deeply saddened that human sexual trafficking, rape and sexual abuse of any type is so rampant.
Why is it important sexual abuse survivors heal? There are a myriad of mental health challenges that can present for these individuals. Additionally, they often have emotional patterns which need to be looked at and remedied so they can live a fulfilling life. The suicide rate is high among survivors who do not heal. For some, addictions become a way of coping with feelings they do not want to experience in everyday life. Another set of compelling reasons is victims of sexual abuse tend to either become self destructive or turn aggressive toward others.
My new book, Bloom – Holistic Healing Methods For Sexual Abusereleases in July 2020. I hope anyone who can benefit from it will take advantage of the read. It will be distributed widely in e-book, audio and physical books on all major book selling platforms. It will also be available to libraries for ordering. Sometimes, you must ask your librarian to order it for you.
We never expected it to look the way it does right now in the United States of America and other countries as well. With Covid-19 and other recent happenings, 2020 has challenged the entire world in ways we could never have imagined.
In meditation, yoga and other practices, we learn respect for a function we often take for granted – breathing. Breath is prana — it is life. It feeds our blood and brains. To watch what occurred to Mr. George Floyd on a street in Minneapolis was beyond disturbing. To me, only a psychopath could slowly kill another person in that manner. George’s breath and life was stolen from him.
With so much unrest, turmoil and uncertainty, what can we do?
Practice Peace by being peaceful — filled with peace. Meditate to achieve feelings of connection to God Source which results in inner peace. Just ten minutes of silent meditation and focused breathing can make each of us feel so different.
Stand in your power by demanding justice for George Floyd and all people of the world. If you feel inclined to express your opinions by marching peacefully with others, stay safe.We will keep this conversation going while the wheels of justice turn.
Denounce the actions and ideologies of persons who commit violence and destruction. Denounce unjustified brutal handling of humans by the police.
Live in the moment, learn from the past, help change the future.
Spread your light on the dark crevices that are afraid of such exposure. Spread kindness and love. Pray!
In this podcast, Lyra Adams speaks of how we can unknowingly enter into relationships that are toxic in nature, living out patterns of abuse from our past. Trauma bonding and signs you may have a relationship built upon that dynamic are also discussed.
It always begins with a thought — a desire to do, have or be something different. Dreaming up ideas and making them real is part of living the life of the magical empath. Yet, I wonder …. has this worldwide pandemic put a damper on your daydreaming abilities? I know it did mine for awhile.
Once I realized I was engaged in too many disaster and fear thoughts, I said to myself, “Snap out of it! Spring, renewal, rebirth — all cycles of nature — are upon the northern hemisphere. It is time to plant seeds of happy desires.”
Now, unless you are in a group mind (like you and your partner or some sort of master mind business group) I always believe it is wise to keep your dreams to yourself. That way, no one else who perhaps has a conflict with your desires can affect your energy you are putting toward them. I remember reading this principle from Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. And, let’s face it, being rich is not always the answer for us. If we are ill or in poor health, money might help to buy us certain health products or services, but it cannot cure us.
To me, being rich and abundant means I have more joy in my life than turmoil. It means things may not always be perfect, but I have a gratitude for everything that surrounds me in my life. Feeling rich is a shift of perception. Yet, having enough monetary funds to float your boat and share with others is important as well. The funny thing is, the more we focus on feeling rich, abundant energy begins to flow toward us.
In this time where many are worried about bills they need to pay and being locked down, unable to work, my hope is that you will carry a confidence that all will be well in your world. May you have sudden insights, intuitions and ingenious ideas for ways you can attract more money energy to you to fulfill your needs. And, may you have unexpected windfalls over the coming weeks and months that make you forget any temporary loss during this time.
Daydreaming and management of your emotions is key to all of this. Read more about it in Book I of The Magical Empath. If you do not have the book, I am including a link to read the chapters Flow of Money and Wealth for free.
May you be blessed with abundance my friend and may all dreams you have that are in your highest purpose come true even more boldly and vividly than you imagined.
